Missing Witness makes free online murder mystery games you can play right in your browser. Each case is an authored detective story: a body, a small circle of suspects, and a web of contradictions for you to pull apart through questioning, evidence, and deduction.

What makes our games different

Instead of reading fixed, scripted lines, you question suspects in your own words. An AI plays each character in role — some lie, some deflect, some let slip more than they intend — so no two investigations play out the same way. You search crime scenes, gather physical clues, rebuild the timeline, and defend a final accusation.

Who makes it

Missing Witness is an independent project built by a small team of mystery and puzzle fans. We write the cases, design the puzzles, and illustrate every scene ourselves, and we add new mysteries regularly. Our goal is simple: the feeling of a great whodunit, on demand, for one player or a group.
