Multiplayer Mode
How to play Missing Witness Multiplayer (Jubensha role-card rooms): open a room, invite 2–6 friends for free, let AI fill empty seats, question suspects, and vote out the killer.

1. Open a Room & Invite Friends (Host Pays, Friends Join Free)
Go to Multiplayer (/multiplayer) and choose any of the 10 roleplay-enabled cases (4, 5, or 6 seats). Only the host needs to sign in and unlock the case. Copy the room invite link and send it to your friends — they join directly in their browser by typing a nickname, with no registration or payment required.
2. Claim Character Seats & Let AI Fill Empty Spots
In the Casting lobby, each human player picks a suspect from the cast. You only need 2 human players to start a game. Any character seat left unclaimed is automatically marked 'AI plays it' — the AI reads that character's secret role card, submits statements, answers questions in discussion, and votes at the end.
3. Read Your Private Role Card (Reading & Statements)
Once the host starts the game, the public Prologue appears on the Table tab and your private dossier opens under My Card: Your Story, What You Tell Others, Secrets to Keep Hidden, and Personal Tasks. If you drew the culprit seat, your card tells you 'You are the killer. Stay hidden and don't get voted out.' During Statements, everyone writes their in-character introduction simultaneously, and the host publishes them all at once in seat order.
4. Free Discussion & Questioning AI Seats
During Discussion, cross-examine each other in the table chat. To question an AI-played suspect, simply include their character name in your message — they will reply in character. Every few turns, AI seats also take the initiative and question human players by name. If a human player goes offline for more than 60 seconds, AI temporarily stands in for their character until they reconnect.
5. Final Words, Voting & Full Debrief
In Final Words, everyone submits who they suspect and why. Then cast your vote on the ballot (you can change your vote until the host clicks Reveal). In the Debrief phase, the room reveals whether the innocents or the killer won, displays the full ground truth and personal task answers, and unlocks every character's role card.
